Warframe launcher could not update?

[Beggining]

Every time I try to update, the launcher would be stuck in 'checking new content' before going blank with the following message:

'Update failed!

Some content updates could not be downloaded from our servers.

Please restart Warframe to try again.

The update will be restarted shortly...'

To be honest, I feel like the launcher had already downloaded the update, but doesn't seem to be able to read it :/

This is happens from time to time. The "verify" and "optimize" cache options in the launcher can sometimes fix it.

Aside from that, there is a thread by [DE]Glen with some tips on how to deal with update failures: 

 

This thread is old and it could be outdated but purging the temporary internet files did fix the problem for me in one occasion.
