Hek Build

So I just bought the Hek and I noticed it has really high

 dps. I was wondering what the best build is for high damage output.

and what would you need for red crit on the weapon?

you can't red crit on the hek without outside buffs

There are generally two builds for Vaykor Hek.

I'd recommend Crit Punch-Through. Crit Head-Shot is a more advanced setup for use with Arcane Avenger. This forma setup will allow you to swap Elementals when needed.

It really depends on what you have. Based on your join date I assume you don't have Primed Point Blank, so here's a solid build that should work well for you, with reasons.

Point Blank. Obvious choice, base damage on shotguns. Basically, the Serration of shotguns.

Hell's Chamber. Multishot will considerably increase your damage, pretty much an essential

Blaze. Normal and heat damage increase, quite powerful when put up along with other status mods at a high chance

Toxic Barrage, Scattering Inferno, Frigid Blast. All dual stat mods, will push up damage in high levels by a lot.

Seeking Fury. Punch through is very important to ensure you don't waste ammo, and as a bonus, increases reload speed

If you can acquire Scattered Justice I'd highly recommend it, it's a great mod. If not, use any mod to increase magazine size as the Hek starts off with a mere 4 shots.

 

Hope this is able to help you out to some extent, it obviously won't scale up into max level missions but it'll take care of you for a while :)
