Link account to steam?

Hello, when I started playing this game, i have registered my account through the webpage.

I didn't know there was anythig like steam workshop so at that time it didn't bother me much. But now I would really love to be able to purchase some of the workshop skins which are not available if I have't signed up through steam. 

I wanted to ask, if there is a way to "link" my account to my steam account in order to be able to purchase those skins.

Just log in to the game through the steam account you want to link it to and there will be a pop up asking you if you want to link it

And you can save yourself a bit of downloading by converting standalone Warframe to the Steam version:

But if you're asking, 'Can I continue to use my standalone WF install, and just link it to Steam?' the answer's 'no'. I've asked it a couple of times over the past year or so, and the answer hasn't changed (at least, not yet).  In order to purchase anything through Steam, you have to play WF via the Steam client, and not via a standalone client.  Sadness.
