Possible new trade scam? (PSA?)

So a few days ago I was selling one of my extra growing power aura mods for XX amount of platinum. Trade went as normal, I put my mod up, he put agreed upon platinum up, agree button, accept button. Happy day. 

Right after I had a buddy whom I was giving a mod too and as the initial trade ended I clicked to trade my buddy and said other player was gone already within .005 seconds (might not even be exaggerated) so I checked my plat amount and I didn't gain the plat from player, also no longer had my mod. Anyone know what happened or how?

Adding in: I'm not upset about this, more of a PSA about it for people, of players possibly leaving dojo during trade or force quitting warframe. Any advice for myself or other trying to sell items on how to avoid?

 

Tl;dr: is there a new trade scam by force quitting game, and if so how to detect and avoid?

I screen shot every trade and check to see if the plat go through after each trades. If not, I quickly save last 15 mins video and send in a report. Your experience may vary on Xbox though.

Never saw that to be honest.

I strongly advise to contact support to report that player with those informations: Date Time when it happen , Player name and items traded

Xbox unfortunately only offers a 5 minute max, and for that you have to pre set up this. I'll do it for things at so much plat, but the amount was so small disnt think they would try a scam. Yes I did report tho because I am against this. No clips tho.

May not be a scam may just be a simple game error they do sometimes happen.
