DSIII:Ashes of Ariandel discussion (Spoilers!)

Finally making 2nd playthrough progress with the same character.

With clear mind i now realize that DLC has certain flaws. Or one at least: ganks.

The whole DLC is one huge gank-simulator.

It starts with being ganked by Farron Followers - being constantly surrounded by their shileds, spears in your butt, fire in your groin...

Then wolfs, lots of them, way too much. At least Frommy had decency to not make them as spastic and lighting fast as dogs. Which is weird. Aren't wolfes supposed to be better at this?...

Then one of the two: either witch-tree forest with 9000 homing fire projectiles from all sides or Millwood tower aka "fight the big guys while other big guys shoot you with exploding arrows". Anor Londo archers 2.0 - now with explosives!

Corvian Settlement - probably the best place in the DLC. Still technically gank-city, but enemies so weak that it doesn't matter. Just fight corvian knights 1v1 and you should be golden.

Sir Vinhelm, lovely fight.

Then goddamn labyrinth with ALL the previous enemies ganking you.

Then the basement infested with mutant-mosqitoes spaming the same grab attack over and over again.

Then the gank-boss where you just have no rights to overextend and forget about the other.

Optional area: down the roots being constantly shot at by exploding greatarrows, get ganked by CRABS ("...are you feeling it now, Mr Crabs?...") then the optional half-gank bossfight: get smashed by a greatwolf while being shot at with magic darts by his master.

Ashes of Ariandel? More like Ashes of Gankiandel

Constant Awareness of Multiple Threats (CAMT): the DLC.

I still rate it 8/10 but goddammit Frommy
