Host Migration (I can not take it anymore)

Hi,

I play Warframe for years and never (never!) I had to write in the forum (until today)

The DE is in serious trouble on the servers and I'm tired of getting hurt by their failure. I am often doing a Survival Void 40-60min or Defense Void 30-40waves and suddenly I'm disconnected from the match, I get the message "host migration", after a while I'm back on the ship and it appears that the mission failed.

Moral of the story, I lost all my relics, all xp, my time and mainly the loot of the mission.

Please DE (PLZ!), Fix this problem on your server, I'm tired of being disconnected from the matches (happens very often), I feel cheated by the company, I invested time and money in the company, I always found DE an excellent But this problem is bothering me a lot.

I am waiting for a solution to this problem, coming from the community or from the DE

While there are issues with DE's server the host migration part doesn't really have anything to do with DE.  Their servers are not used during survival etc, one of the players' pc's become the host pc where other players 'sync' to, also known as p2p networking. 

Having said that there could be some issues with the p2p code as I've had a couple of occasions whee I've been recorded as inactive even though I've been running round killing stuff.

Biggest issue I've seen on the DE server is the 'syncing' of players during matchmaking causing me to need to 'restart' matchmaking, sometimes into double figures even though my connection is 100% stable.

Are you certain it's their servers? I mean I rarely get host migrations, and when I do they migrate in 2 - 3 seconds no issues and I'm in Australia, which in the case you did not know, does not have the most reliable/ fastest internet in the world... So yeah sometimes DE's servers are not great but others your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may be the issue...

Wow!  And I thought I was the only one.  Been playing Warframe for years now and only since the void 2.0 changes have I felt the need to ever post anything.

Regardless of why "host migration" occurs, it is handled very poorly on DE's end.  It has always been one of those things that was tolerable because it did not happen so frequently, but it happens way too often to shrug off anymore.

Exactly ! Rarely happened to be disconnected, but now it is happening very often, before I did not care so much, it is normal some faults from time to time, but now it is starting to hurt me.

I also agree that the DE does not seem to care much about the feedback from others, I see several topics on the forum and none of them with any position of DE, I feel that DE simply resolved to ignore this problem with the servers...

I am not a technical or specialist in the area, but I believe that it should not be too difficult to put an option to return to the match after being disconnected or at worst of the hypotheses you leave the group match and become host of your own game.
