0 Bug24
The launcher and game are two different executables. In order to add the game as a non-steam game, you need to add the game I believe.
0 Renathy
The only way to have Steam recognize Warframe is to install it through the client itself. Adding it as a non-Steam game is simply used to get access to the overlay because a game installed outside of Steam does not have the required files that Steam needs in order to recognize it as an installed Steam game. 0 taiiat
start the Download of Warframe on Steam, wait a few minutes (up to however long until you start seeing files being created in the Warframe Directory Steam will create), pause the Download, Exit Steam. copy your files from your existing install of Warframe, and paste them in that Steam Directory. start Steam. when the Download resumes, it should jump to like 90-99% done after reading the local data. - - - - - if you're just grumbling - yeah, that's how software works. if you want to run the Steam version of Warframe, you will need to run... the Steam version of Warframe. otherwise it won't hook with Steam. they aren't the same. no, don't say they are, they aren't. because one has a few extra files to handle Steam Launching it and hooking to it. if Steam has issues, my first recommendation would be to install Steam outside of the Windows managed Program Files Folder. basically any game or advanced software you install there is highly prone to causing problems because Windows can get involved in it. so don't install things there. "it's (current year)" oh boy. i have a feeling this isn't going anywhere other than complaining about nothing.
