Is there any point in using Arcane Guardian on Nidus?

I am wondering if bringing Arcane Guardian could add or increase survivability of Nidus. I'll be really thankful if someone could answer on that with calculations if possible :)

Without knowing if his stacks bonus armor is affected by armor mods I can't give you an exact number but I can tell you what the difference would be with his Base armor.

Arcane Guardian modifies you base armor, like an armor mod.

If you were using Nidus with Arcane Guardian and Steel Fiber your armor without stacks would look like this

Base Armor * ( 1 + Steel Fiber + Guardian )

300 * ( 1 + 1.1 + 0.6) =  810

The mitigation value of 810 armor is

810 / ( 810 +300 ) =  0.729729 = 73%

His Link ability gives him 90% mitigation which does not stack with his armor mitigation but functions as a layer before it. So say you have 1,000 incoming damage. That 1,000 incoming damage would be reduced by his Link mitigation first, then that result would be further reduced by his Armor.

1,000 Damage * ( 1- 0.9) = 100 Damage

100 Damage * (1-  0.73) = 27 Damage

Without Guardian his passive mitigation is 67.7% So that last part without Arcane Guardian would be:

100 Damage * (1- 0.677) = 32 Damage

In this case Arcane Guardian is improving Nidus' Defense by  ( 32 - 27 ) / 32 = 0.15625 = 15.6%

i use it its welcome  nidus have pretty nice base armor+steel fiber

no point if you use rage, try  grace avenger and/or victory
