The temperature was manageable, not that Kevin really cared being encased in his Nekros Warframe as he, Karasu, Roy and Adam stalked a Grineer patrol. Karasu turned invisible and went in silent as the wind before decapitating the first Grineer rifleman. Before the body even had a chance to drop Karasu danced away as Roy and Adam opened fire killing the other two Grineer in a withering barrage of fire. Karasu reappeared and signaled a halt, no one was going to ignore the gunfire.The Grineer would be coming soon to investigate. Recon was boring they just needed a few more anti-toxin samples and then the party would begin. The four man team kept moving, eliminating the Grineer patrols piecemeal with blade and gun respectively. Kevin's Ether Reaper sliced through the Grineer Butcher as though he were made of paper. Whirling the scythe he jumped down on the last man standing, the Nekros slicing him in half. "Clear." He said over the COMs. Everyone else said the same except for Karasu. "Advise," he asked Kevin. "There is a female minor, civilian and unescorted we-" Karasu made a confused grunt. "That's impossible...she just...disappeared." "Karasu?" Roy asked "You okay buddy." "I-I'm fine..." Also, in the future while I wait for people to interact with Dalimir (if they want to) I'm going to be posting long pieces to get Xenthia (who I have sadly been neglecting) up to speed. The Valkyr chimed in as she and her partner scoured the massive forest for ingredients, having been charged with this menial task by the Lotus. While they were being made to distribute ingredients to other Tenno who would be injecting the anti-toxins into the Cicero Injectors it was not without reward. As soon as Hek showed his newly-reuglified face they would be granted first crack at the propoganda-spewing junk pile. The Nyx in particular was frustrated with looking for the rarest plants as she couldn't just use her mind powers to go into the 'minds' of flora to seek them out. "Oh shut up...Hek'll get his." The green Nyx grunted, taking extract from the ten-thousandth Threshcone she'd seen today. Damn things were everywhere and even the Dragon Lilies were common compared to Jadeleaf. She'd seen them ONCE in the whole day and they looked like they'd stand out like a sore thumb unlike the other two ingredients. Sadly, though the Nyx could blend in well in this environment she was constantly plagued by Bone and Marrow to kill things. Plants didn't do the trick and they were becoming increasingly agitated at her hips, so much so their energy lights were pulsating on their own. It crossed her mind to blow the Valkyr's head off...but she was amazing at drawing Grineer to them so that might actually make things worse in the long run. "Bloody mother-effing skyscrapers of compressed dung will you two shut up!" She shouted, making the Valkyr look at her oddly and pull out another soundboard quote. "You know I've been thinking...when life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back!" This was surprisingly helpful somehow, making the Nyx @#&$ her head. "You're right..." She mused, bringing up the map. She'd marked the first Jadeleaf so they could return to it for some night-cycle harvesting on her map for easy retrieval. "Lotus is going to hand feed us Hek after this." Grinning, the Nyx set up a pathway marker on her HUD, making it so she could make her way back. The plan? Set the scanner and minimap to detect the signature of Jadeleaf in the immediate area. Now they could just walts through the forests and find them...hopefully. "Ay. Double-Pee-Ell-Ee."
