How to add prime parts to weapons

I'm sorry this may sound dumb . . . but HOW if you get a prime blade for a weapon equip it . . . or replace the old blade with the prime one?

Prime parts are used to build a Prime weapon from scratch in the Foundry (you need to gather all the Prime parts necessary for the Prime weapon). You don't replace regular parts with Prime parts to make or upgrade it into a Prime weapon.

Prime weapons are separate items to regular weapons, so you either build a regular one or a Prime one.

That'd be pretty cool, though. They'd have to come up with a way to calculate the stats for partly upgraded weapons, but aside from that ... imagine you could just slap the better gauntlets on your Venka and already benefit from improved stats while you continue to farm for the blades. And the model only switches over from vanilla to Prime after you've fully upgraded them.
