Genesis7000
You know that DE always was a bit busy and wasn´t buffing weapons how really needed a buff then they released rivens witch was great but then a Zarr buff, a Sicarus Prime buff so if they do it anyway what is the point of rivens or more band aid mods like for the Sobeck or Flux Rifle? Can some please explain this to me!
(PSN)joshw1400
Because it would waste time to buff every weapon. We might not have even seen the new Primes if they had to make every weapon good, so they used the power of RNG.

(PSN)maso_sage-mode
the only thing i dont like about rivens is the plat price of these, the drop rate and playing kuva syphon. We have the beautiful kuva fortress scenario, why dont you put syphons there and make greneer drop kuva as well? kuva spy mission : 400 kuva for each terminal hacked and kuva packs in survival rotations ? these changes make the difference... (PSN)lhbuch
Concepts similar to Rivens exist in several games. The intention of such mechanics are: 1) Keep people playing your game for a longer time ( Farming etc...) 2) Increase profit A straight buff would not create a new market item to be traded, the desire to have the perfect riven for your loved weapon etc... Off course that sweet plat sales increase doesnt hurt.

No joke i could do it in an hour lol. Theres no excuse.
(XBOX)ThermalStone
Rivens are end game stuff, for veteran players who have the time to grind Kuva and re forma and level their favorite weapons for a little more power or build up a less popular weapon because they have nothing left to grind. It doesn't have anything to do with the need for individual weapon buffs.

The intention of those where to bring old weapons in endgame this could have been done with a buff and don´t people say always we want less grind. Acersecomic
Buffing/Nerfing every weapon would take a lot of time and careful consideration. But with rivens and riven dispositions you can easily pull unused weapons out onto the scene especially because Riven numbers and stats are not solid numbers, meaning you can't exactly math it out and say "hurr durr meta fart noises wipes snotty nose".
