The Operandum shards were still scattered about the ship, working to scrub the distortion from it's vision. It continued Sending out it's distress call, trying to pass itself of as Sarah.

As the two entered their ships, the distress beacon flashed onto their ships Nav-consoles. Svytoj's Liset could be seen barrelling towards the source of the beacon.
"[My main concern is the way this beacon is structured; whoever is sending it is going through a great effort to make us think It's Sarah calling for help. We won't know the how credible this is until we reach the beacon.]" Svytoj said over the line as the signal continued to get stronger.
Svytoj thoughts were racing at this point, still trying to suss out what was happening. ͢Wh͏y̸ i͠s ̢this signal so famili̢ar͞?̛

The static suddenly cleared, leaving the room.... exactly as it was barely a minute ago, save for Sarah lying on the floor with a glaive in her back. Sarah's liset slowed to a stop, listing slightly to the left.

((Quick question for everyone who was in HFTR. Would anyone care if I rebooted/remade a really minor character that didn't affect the plot in any way? I was just starting out at the time of writing, and I feel like I could do his concept a lot better now that I've got some experience under my belt.))

((Seeing as they literally had NO impact on the story, and I think the only OC who had any real interactions with them is dead(?), I'm not worried about disrupting the story. Plus, it' not exactly the same character, but several elements are being recycled from them. As for how long they stick around, that depends on where the plot goes. His wouldn't be the first plotline I've had to scrap simply because of how unwieldy it would be to fit into the narrative.))

Without any equipment on hand, it was hard to be certain of what was happening internally, but the external infestation spread only a few inches from the wound. Her twitches had died down, and were likely due to the infestation spreading underneath the skin. The glaive was pumping some sort of chemical into Sarah's body that was forcefully keeping her unconscious, but REM indicated that she was experiencing some sort of intense dream.

Until Svytoj, Aria, and Mia arrive, there wasn't much Operandum could do. Some shards wrapped around Sarah's arm, working to keep a closer tab on her blood pressure and pulse. Other flooded the nav-console, hoping to redirect the ship towards the three incoming ships. the remainder continued to keep an eye out for another attack while streaming data to the three arriving Tenno.

Operandum began streaming the video feed from the front of the Xiphos as it sent a constant barrage of white phosphorous rounds toward the intruders ship as more infested bolt flew past.
Suddenly, one of the engines on the intruder's ship erupted in a shower of sparks, sending the ship spiraling erratically as it tried to correct it path.
As the vehicle floundered, trying to stay airborne, the intruder was dislodged from the roof, falling behind the ship before tumbling towards the red sand below like a rag doll.

As the figure slammed to the ground as the ship disappeared over the horizon, sending a small cloud of sand up into the air.
The Xiphos circled around the area before landing several meters away.

Their was no trace of any attacker, at all. How they made their entrance and exit was unclear. Sarah's pulse seemed stable, but the infestation didn't kill when it could help it - it assimilated.

The ship had no cephalon in it, overriding the security would be trivial for Operandum. The ship was quickly under his control, and heading towards the others.
