(I have no name. I have no race. Your kin would refer to me as infestation, but this is not entirely correct. The Hierarchy corral my children, hoping to create new weapons to turn against you. The reasons should be apparent.)

A sharp pain stabbed through Mia's stomach.

(Now, you will answer some of my questions. This will only take a moment.)

As the words entered her mind the pain grew greater and greater. Then, something burst from her chest. Infested flesh grew and expanded from the source of the pain, budding appendages waving manically in the water. Despite the fact that this was merely happening in her head, the pain felt real.

(...I see. Fascinating...) It was hard to tell, but the creature sounded pleased.

(Shall we continue then?)

Mia lets out a noiseless howl, the mental agony instantly robbing her of her ability to properly shout. Regardless of what plane it comes from pain is pain, and right now the Tenno is in a lot of it.

Mia bowls over as her hands fly straight to the tentacles, trying desperately to bind and rip the aberration out.

"...what...did...you...do?..." is all she can form in her head, mental suffering blacking out all other lines of thought.

Leveret's operator found themself at a loss as to what to do. Everyone else was clearly occupied, so they scraped clear a patch of ground with their foot and sat down quietly near Svy, watching as he tried to keep the creature alive.

The adrenaline appeared to momentarily stabilize the infested organisms heartbeat, but the problem with the creature appeared too serious for that to be any real solution. As it slowly edged closer and closer to death, the weakening effect that had been plaguing the tenno slowly waned.

Svytoj Gave Leveret a nod, then looked over at Mia's body, trying to puzzle out what was going on. As the creature grew weaker, he looked up at his Warframe, obviously growing in strength. He looked back at the cords that had bind the Creature to the Slug.
Svytoj beckoned his Frost down into the hole, and in it went.
I wonder. Svytoj though as his warfame knelt beside him. He opened the chassis, exposing the technocyte and synthetic armature inside. He then examined the cords.
((should both the cords and warfame physiology be compatible, the next line is to take effect.))
He took a scalpel from his kit, and began prepping his Warfame for the splice, delicately cutting into the technocyte tissue.

The Constable brought his foot down, and a large plate of rusted metal collapsed, sending the Constable and a large amount of sand falling into a part of the ship buried under the surface.

As the Constable fell, Acambria dove after him. he slipped pass the falling sand, landing roughly behind where the Constable should have landed.

Mia's vision began to slowly fade to black, the patch of infestation growing exponentially larger. By the time her vision was well and truly gone, her entire form had been reforged in infested flesh.

Then her eyes snapped open, and the dark sea, the infested, and the pain were all gone. She was back aboard the tower ship.

The cord fused to the warframe rapidly, growing even more resilient to damage as the infested flesh improved upon previous flaws. As the creature was conjoined to the warframe, it began to siphon off the warframe's resources at a dangerous rate, using them to develop its own body.

Acambria landed in a battered corpus hangar, though the ships inside looked like they had been crafted from Orokin materials. and were in strikingly better condition than the rest of the room. The Constable was walking down the hangar, inspecting each ship. He briefly glanced back at Acambria.

"You're quite the clingy one, aren't you?" he said, turning his attention back to the ships.

For now, Svytoj's Aura was holding firm, Keeping the warfame from withering. But it was obvious he was going to need more resources. he Looked over at Mia quizzically; He hoped she was making progress.

"You know what it's like chasin' your own body since the end of the orokin empire?" Acambria replied sharply, looking about the hybrid orokin-corpus ship. "I've been trying to get an edge over that Cephalon for ages. If I think I can find a new asset to do so, I'm goin' for it. So, what've we got here?"

"A ship." The Constable replied dryly, "So I can get off this rock."

Finding a ship to his liking, he stepped inside to make sure that the interior was still intact.

The infested creature's body mass increased visibly, muscles growing and expanding. The draining effect increased tenfold, enough to immediately bring anyone in a warframe to their knees.

The creature slowly turned its head towards Svytoj, staring hungrily at him. It was still too weak to strike, but its muscles were tensing up, readying itself for when it would be developed enough to fight. And at the rate it was growing, that would be very soon.

The Nyx P twitches with a start, the cross legged Aria sitting in front grabbing her by under the arms. Mia raises her head, and the words form clear as bold text on a Corpus advertisement screen.

"...cut it loose!..." reverberates into the party's heads, images of the cord flashing like fireworks.

The Engines of the ship light up, and the ship begins to exit via the gaping hole in the roof. Once clear of the derelict, the ship speeds off towards the horizon.

With what little energy the Warfame had left, the Frost lifted it's leg, Catching onto the creatures ankle in hopes of toppling it over. Svytoj stood up, void energy crackling down his arms from the junctions, and dashed towards the creature.

The creature crashed to the ground, landing with a heavy thud. It twitched slightly, but didn't get up after that. Its newfound strength seemed to be fleeting now that the cord was severed.

................................................

As the ship took off, the Constable vanished, leaving Acambria stuck aboard a ship travelling to an unknown destination. Back at the hangar, a second ship took off, making a void-jump to an unknown destination the second it was clear of the hangar.

Svytoj lurched as the data flooded over him. He slowly repeated back what he heard to the rest of the group. His attention was now squarely away from the Creature.

"I don't know about the rest of you, but I think our plans have been changed for us."

As the ship took off, the Constable vanished, leaving Acambria stuck aboard a ship travelling to an unknown destination. Back at the hangar, a second ship took off, making a void-jump to an unknown destination the second it was clear of the hangar.

"{And there I go given everyone too much trust.}" Cracked over the Constable's COMMs. Acambria looked over the course trajectory of his ship, hoping to glean some more data.
"[Sir, Encrypted transmission detected.]" Systol called over the line. "{Wire it over.}" Acambria replied. the lines of binary quickly flickered over his HUD, slowly giving way to the transcription.
"Oooo... Game's afoot, huh? {Y'all goin' to a party and didn't invite me? or did ya'll just misplace my invitation?}" Acambria hissed over the line, still looking over the flight plan.

((sorry for the late reply, been busy with a new pet))

Leveret's operator continued their fleeing scramble until the creature didn't get up. "Well, that uh...that could have ended badly." they said simply, standing up and nudging the creature with a toe.

"...What now?"

Svytoj checked for a pulse, clutching what looked like several metal zip ties in his hand, and still trying to figure out whether to restrain the beast or not.
"Personally, three things. We analyze this thing's tissue and try to find an immunity to its sapping effect, we try and find anyone else here that can get us information, and we try to cut the head from the local cell here."

The ship was silent, and it was unlikely that they'd find anymore answers here. The Hierarchy would have doubtless wiped their ship's logs of anything useful. Furthermore, the grineer fleets had arrived en masse, and were beginning to set up a blockade around the planet. Getting on or off the planet would be incredibly difficult at this point, and there wasn't much worth going back to the surface for at this point anyway.

With no leads left, it was high time the tenno moved on.

.....................................

The ship was just set to keep travelling around the planet until it ran out of fuel. It wasn't going particularly fast, as it hadn't been the Constable's intention to trap or kill Acambria, simply to delay him while he escaped. Acambria's own ship could easily catch up, dock, and extract him.

...this is getting to to be a lousy trend... Mia thinks to herself, slowly getting to her feet with Aria propping her up after the abrupt end to the ordeal. Still, at this point frustration will get nowhere, especially with no viable targets to take it out on. The darn key slotters will be back as they so lovingly have, they always do; like pests that keep moving back into your attic. A blip comes through her comms, and after a quick glance, the Nyx stands straight up.

"...grineer fleet inbound. best we make ourselves scarce..." moving her eyes off her cephalon's report and turning her helmet down to the olive girl in front of her.

"...I'll take you up on that drink and bath..." she says privately to Aria.

"You mean it~?" the girl asks boisterously while cracking a brilliant smile, and one could practically see stars shimmering out of her eyes; a mean trait considering they're pure orbs of black.

"...with the good stuff..."

"Woohoo~! Time to drink the night away~!!!" Aria shouts as she poofs from the ground and flings herself halfway up the caved in room.

"Oh wait, hold on a second~" she says over the public comms. As her head falls first back towards the ground she void dashes again, this time back towards the ground. As she reappears, instead of her chalky Saita suit the trademark golden and white clawed feet of her Valkyr comes into view instead, the rest of the suit quickly following suit.

"Almost forgot something~" she continues, walking to around the middle of the room. Swinging her archwing engines in front, the Valkyr proceeds to pull out a warhead. Then another one. Then another one. In short order a scarily large pile of explosive munitions lay piled up like someone getting ready for a end of the year festival.

"There we go~" Aria muses to herself as she pulls a road runner and scoops up Mia bridal style in her arms in an instant.

"...you know I can fly by myself, right?..." Mia whispers, the sudden action not surprising her in the least. Not the first time this has happened perhaps?

"Oh there will be a lot of *flying* for sure, to all sorts of places I'm sure~"

Not having the energy to think of a comeback, Mia simply responds with a punch to Aria's helmet.

Giving an exuberant laugh, Aria takes off through the air and back up to the top of the room before heading back for the empty hangar and the sea of stars beyond. A pluming pillar of smoke and fuel trails after her.

Svytoj shouldered the body of the creature, along with his warframe, and jumped out of the hole. it only took him a few minutes to rendezvous with this ship. The glitched chroma faded out, seeming to have evaded the sight of those around it.
Acambria's ship quickly circled back, towing the spiraling shuttle craft out of orbit.
Ambassa began looking over the recordings and files provided by Svytoj, trying to compile the information into something useful.

the drones, the patchwork ship, and the Frost's landing craft, all the in the blink of an eye, where gone.

Leveret didn't stick around for much longer after watching the other Tenno depart.

He was eager to return to Mars and rest, and so he met up with his mantis craft, making a beeline for the red planet.

((this is all I can come up with...it's almost midnight here. I'm gonna sleep and edit to flesh it out later if I think of more to add))

As the Elytron soars out into space the payload left in the middle goes off, unleashing an inferno that would shake even Fomorian class stations to the core. Unhindered by the previous debilitating field, the fireball quickly roars through every nook and cranny, melting metal and vaporizing plastic. If the explosion doesn't cause critical structural failure, hopefully it would at least knock a few blocks and critical pieces off.

A black Scimitar flashes in, it's open hanger quickly scooping the duo into it's depths. No sooner than the crafts appear on sensors than the craft fades away.

Nearby microphones would only pick up the sound of a pair of landing craft engines roaring away before they warped off into the sea of stars.

(because I hate leaving chekov guns unfired x.x)
