Excalibers passive question

Does anyone know if Swords and shields are affected by Excaliburs passive? I know it affects longswords, nikana, dual swords and rapiers but says nothing about the sword and shield, does anyone know if it does?

any other melees (including sword and shield) will not be affected by his passive except for the weapons you already mentioned

Excalibur has improved mastery in the Tenno art of the blade, receiving +10% attack speed and +10% damage when dealing melee attacks (including via Exalted Blade) while wielding the following weapons:

• Swords, such as the Skana.
• Dual swords, such as the Dual Skana.
• Nikanas, such as the Dragon Nikana.
• Rapiers, such as the Destreza.

Excalibur has improved mastery in the Tenno art of the blade, receiving +10% attack speed and +10% damage when dealing melee attacks (including via Exalted Blade) while wielding the following weapons:

Swords, such as the Skana.

Bonuses are additive to mods such as Pressure Point and Fury.

 

Based on this, he doesn't gain any bonuses when using a sword and shield like the Silva and Ageis.

Only by comparison to use of weapons he does sync with.

As everyone already said, only Longswords/Dualswords/Nikanas/Rapiers are affected. Sword&board isn't.

Kinda-related fun fact-- since your Exalted Blade is classified as a longsword, it'll receive the passive bonus regardless of what melee weapon you have equipped.

I wish this also applied to glaives, since it was (kind of) the original -_-
