Absolute INSANE FPS and performance problems

So I took a very small break from Warframe, and what I came back to was an absolute mess.

I can run this game on full max settings (i.e. put your display settings to high then max out the AA to high) with 120 fps solid. Now I can only run the game around 30 fps with absolute minimum settings (everything on low, no extras, nothing).
Managed to get it working yesterday for just about and hour or so, then boom, back to 30 fps.

I'm running a GTX970, Intel core I7-4790, 16GB ram, so its not like I'm using a potato. I don't have this issue with any other game, just Warframe.

I've no idea what's happened to the performance of this game, but its gone right through the floor recently.

I'm not running on the best device myself but even so warframe always ran pretty decent up untill recently. Framerate had dropped a lot. All my other games run fine as before.
