How is the clan ascension ceremony supposed to work for new clans?

I understand that clans that have already done their research can do the ascension ceremony to get all the endo for the current clan affinity. But how is this system supposed to work for new clans?

Do you have to do an ascension ceremony every time your clan reaches a new affinity rank? Is the duration of each ceremony always 3 days? And can you build an altar right from the beginning?

Im just curious and it seems the wiki is not yet updated.

I'm assuming you can build it whenever you want and then get all the endo at that point and then continue to level rank by rank. Wish DE was less vague about these things.

I think you can build it and do a ceremony each rank or just do research and do one ceremony for several ranks at one go.

Should be available to build as soon as a rank is reached I believe.
