Secura Lecta build advice

So I'm trying out the Secura Lecta, and trying to find a build for the whip so that I can use it for credit farming...  and I have to do this without Maiming Strike (which I don't have).

The two builds I'm looking at are:

So before I sink more forma into the weapon (first one was for a v), what's some advice for the Secura Lecta?

if you dont have maiming strike to use, I feel that blood rush is a little less useful. I would swap it out for condition overload it's a guaranteed 120% damage if you can get both status' on the enemies. The damage, obviously, scaling with the combo counter. You will never have a 50% chance to crit with BR in. And you have to get to 3.5x multiplier just to get a 33% chance.
