A community based level or room?

Was just thinking about the possibility of addressing two things with one solution.

1. Being able to openly chat and gather with other players would really bring together a sense of we the tenno vs those baddies.

2. Being able to view and test weapons before purchase, or even just view on other players.

Solution? This may not be easy to do at all, but its just an idea.

How about a level or room where players can drop in and just meet up? Like a place where we can all chat together and make parties and just chill. Now how about adding a section with target dummies? We can test weapons, damage stats, compare mods with others, or just show off our badass warframes to one another. On a note with new mobility options, maybe a room just to practice some parkour?

Again i understand that the mechanics needed may not be feasible yet at all, but this is just an idea. Happy gaming!

This was kinda already brought up here, as I had a similar idea, just a little more fleshed out as a concept.

Saw your post, great idea, but i was thinking of a more community based hub zone, more seperate from everything. The main thing is the idea of having a place to meet up and form parties for ventures.

I like the idea. I actually thought about something along those lines aswell, but more in the direction of housing, where every player has a little room in that he can walk around without a warframe on (or have one on, but is able to switch them in a kind of Deadspace-manner). He could have a crafting station there aswell and when he sits down in the middle of the room, the light fades and the map appears. My idea for socialising was, that he can invite people to his place, but I think a kind of common room, like you described would be better. Also, beside the living room, every Tenno would also have a kind of holodeck that looks like the tutorial room in that he can spawn weapons he doesn't own and try them, spawn enemies and obstacles, etc.

It's certainly not that important for the game (besides the weapon-testing-part, which the game really needs), but damn it would be awesome to have it. I think it would increase the immersion into the game hugely.
