Relic grinding vs. relic packs

My question is simple, really; which is less time-consuming when it comes to trying to obtain a specific relic, looking up which rotations and such it's obtainable from and trying to do that specific mission over and over, or doing syndicate missions in order to buy relic packs which reward 3 relics at a time with a guaranteed rare? Obviously, as with most things in this game, there's a heavy amount of RNG involved and you can't always guarantee one method is consistently more effective than the other, but which do you prefer? Which do you think is better or more enjoyable?

With the relic packs, you have no guarantees and have a full pool of all available relics. With missions, you are guaranteed to get a relic from a specific pool. Statistically(sp?) mission grinding is best grinding.

what i do i  get dally and insta buy 1 pack.. over time  u will stock up a lot...i  have about 2000+ relics  ...just play game dont pressure self..at some point u will get all u need..

Not too sure on the time consuming part but I'd much rather spend 25,000 syndicate points on a mod and sell it for plat than spend 20,000 points on 3 relics.

Yes, one of those relics might award me with something worth more than the syndicate mod but there's no way my maths can cope with the RNG of all that to try and come up with a definitive answer. I wouldn't be surprised if DE has done the maths and they're pretty much equal.

Farming relics is way easier. Relic packs can drop any relic that's in the game. Where certain missions drop certain relics.
