Iccotak
Protect citizens from invading forces. Grineer, Corpus, or InfestedIdeas for Locations include; a colony, underground bunker, spaceship, a death camp, a Lab.The basic premise is that 1-4 players have to gather as many citizens as possible to the safe point from invading enemies. The mission is in 2 parts.PART 1Players start at one point on the map, they can work together or split up to gather survivors and defend them.A survivor will move once a player comes in contact with them. As they make their way to the rescue point it is the players job to defend them. Sometimes the survivors will hide behind cover and wait for the fight to end before they continue. You can only lose so many survivors before the mission is a failurePART 2Once everyone is at the safe point the players have to fend off waves of invading forces for a certain amount of time. Turrets will be available for players.Invading forces will have ground and air support. Shoot them down. They will have many ways of reaching the survivors so be vigilant. After fending off enemies a tenno dropship arrives to pick up survivors. Mission accomplished
DSpite
I'm not a fan of "player caused mission failures" when there is a much better overall mechanic, which is already kind of used in Excavation, where players failing to carry out tasks are simply "penalized" in lost time. If this scenario if you lose a citizen, you can get another, but you lost the time in trying to save the previous one. What this does is just "force" players to leave after they realize they are constantly getting citizens killed, and not progressing. One player that keeps screwing up and getting citizens killed can tank the mission for the three other players playing perfectly. Look at Spy missions, people prefer to solo because just one person can force-fail a room and screw the mission for three other people.
Diarmut
Sounds a lot like the Grineer deserter's event we had a bit ago, but I do like the second part with the defensive aspect.
