Questions about Riven on Ferrox

hi guys i'm kind of new to here, so i don't know whether i find the right place to ask

 

Recently I got my riven mod on ferrox and I want to roll it for CC & CD for normal usage(Not for an alternative fire)

 

My question is that does Ferrox can be used with alternative fire(Firing with middle mouse button).

 

i find it very interesting but i'm very doubtful that there is anyone who use it in that way.

-in my opinion, alternative fire has too much narrow reach and is very inconvenient

 

So if i do not use it in that way, I think i don't need all the SC or Fire/Cold etc, right?

I use the alternative fire when it needs to reload and there's a bombard or other grineer heavy unit that's weak to radiation so as to easily switch to my sidearm and take it out while I walk over to retrieve my ferrox. I find it easier as it will either kill the target outright or hold it still making headshots easier.

Thx for reply. you mean that alternative fire is only for specific situation such as Narrow CC or etc right?

So i don't have to make my riven have Status Chance increase or Fire/Cold etc.

All i need is increase the Damages or Critical damage right?

BTW I think those are great ways to use Ferrox. Appreciate it.

Your alt is mainly for cc. use in tight spots like doorways or narrow corridors and use a secondary with punchthrough or a melee to wipe out enemies in a clump. A friend of mine likes to bunch them together with the alt fire and then use his pox on them. Works like a charm. Personally I use my euphona prime.
