pc account to steam

i know the subject line is a bit confusing but i am sorry. 

i am looking for info about how warframe works on steam  do i need to transfer my warframe account over to steam , i started on pc and found out it can be played on steam  are there pros  and cons to each ?

any help would be nice . 

i love this game and what you guys and girls in DE  do for all the Tenno , thank again for any help you can give

No transfer needed. Just download the client through steam and you can start playing on your account.

Only difference is access to Tennogen so you can buy it.

So every time will have to open steam too in order to play warframe? So that means there will be steam and warframe running at the same time?

To play it through steam you will have to launch it through steam, so yes.

You say it like it's some kind of problem. It's no issue at all, that's what millions of gamers do every day.
