Limbo, shift press

Hi.
I have only one question. If i press "Shift" with Limbo, my Limbo looks like he's in the Rift, but rift is off. What is it? :o
I know only i can't hit enemies and enemies can't hit me :D Have it any other functions?
I search it at forums, youtube, but nothing.
Sorry for my english guys, i'm from Czech.

Dodging now lets limbo enter the rift automatically

 

Limbo had a rework. His skills have been changed.

Limbo got a heavy rework, you might need to read his change on one of the older Patchnotes and Threads.
