Riven mod help

So i got my first riven mod, and i was happy about it, and ive tried to do the mission on it, (synthesize a simaris target without using Traps or abilities, whilst having a hobbled dragon key equipped) Ive done as it says and the mod still hasent unlocked, what else do i need to do, scan the target 3 times before i can get it unveiled? Thanks!

you can not use abilites even after it says completed

Did you equip the Riven as well?

The mod must be equipped onto a weapon, it does not cost any mod energy to do so, but requires a slot.  When in the mission you still see a purple dialog at the bottom that shows the challenge.  You can see it again by hitting escape and returning to the game.

Most threads about riven not unlocking ends up with the riven not been equipped. A minor number of cases ends up been one of the requests not been fulfilled 

It is better than the threads about hidden weapon nerfs that end up been a dragon key equipped.
