All colors besides "default" appear shiny when chosen?

I noticed there was a difference between the luster of the default color of a Warframe and any other color, at least on Valkyr Prime using the base frame skin. It appears to be shiny or plastic-y when any other color besides the "default" color (even the same ones on the tenno palette) is chosen.

It's nothing major, but it's an odd discrepancy I'd really appreciate an answer for. I really want to color Valkyr but abhor the shinyness when any other color's used.

I also notice color seems weird like the same color will appear in different shades when put on Warframe, armor and syandana.
