Synthesis Scanner refuses to scan

I have the quest to scan the Elite Arid Lancers, but for some reason the scanner refuses to scan them. I point it directly at the scan nodes and use left click, but nothing. No buildup, no indication of action, nothing. It scans OTHER things just fine, it just refuses to scan the target. I've tried trapping it, I've tried stunning it, I've tried swapping my weapons out for Primary, secondary AND melee, but still it refuses to scan the target.

Did this occur once or every single mission? The only thing I can think of is the target spawning a decoy.

I have just met the same case. I think it is a bug after the U21 update. Already posted it in the bug section. Now can only wait for DE to fix it.

Myself, several clanmates and friends have had this issue today.
It wasn't just us either as we started asking other in our squads if they could scan the synthesis targets and nobody in mission with us was able to.

This is a Simaris target bug in general

I was able to scan my target on the 5th so this was specifically part of the 21.0.5 hotfix

Same problem over here, just got riffle riven that wants me to scan synthesis target without using abilities while hobbled key is equipped, but when i get to target i can't scan it

Hotfix notes says its fixed.
