Nightmare Defense: Not Worth It.

Survival defense is a really cool concept, and while I am glad to see it added as the nightmare form of defense missions, getting nothing but a single nightmare mod as a reward is just bad.  I suggest that the end reward should roll as a normal defense of that level would, for each 5 waves in the survival, and then give ALL of those mods at the end together with the nightmare mod.  It would make the survival defense more worthwhile than normal ones, but with the added difficulty and risk of banking on all or nothing reward for all of the waves at the higher difficulty, instead of letting you skip out if you start to get overwhelmed.

I thought we getting all mods we loot during mission?! (If any dropped that is)

Same goes for Void Defence 3, so much hassle for one item, and you might have it from before too.. Making it more agonising.

Think what OP wants is final reward to be 3 nightmare mods, one for every 5 waves.  Afterall, there is no early exit on Nightmare, it is 15 or bust.

I would prefer if a "normal mod" rolled along with the standard nightmare mod.

It would be a bigger incentive IMO.

 

Because it takes 15 rounds just to secure 1 NM mod is not that attractive, people can run nightmare Mprime till their eyes bleed and get the mod they want faster.
