New - Skins obtainable in game?

Hi,

Im a newb. Simple question, been familiarizing myself with the crafting system and seeing how to purchase and build items; But I didn't see an option to purchase some things (warframe skins, weapon skins, syandana, etc) using in-game obtainable currency (credits), only platinum.

So, I fear I've already answered my own question, but I'm hoping that these cosmetic things are obtainable in-game somehow and aren't pay-to-play only perks?

Those are pay to play only but you can earn plat in game from trading

Yes they are all only obtainable through the use of platinum.

Warframe alternate helmets however are obtainable through alerts.

Well there are some cosmetics that you can obtain by other means than buying them with platinum. Baro has all: armors, syandanas and some skins (the choice is not as broad as you'd wish it to be but it's something, right?). There are also few skins in Conclave shop at Teshin's place though these are not top notch too. Nothing else comes to my mind.

Trade stuff for plat>Use plat for cosmetics.

Fashionframe is endgame.
