Charging glaives only possible while dual wielding?

I was playing around with Orvious yesterday and realized to my dismay that we only get the charge timer / indicator when dual wielding. When we switch to melee and just the glaive we no longer have the indicator for the bonus damage? Or while in melee we always have the "timed charge" effect in play? Anyone know how this works?

The special "Bonus charge" is only when dual wielding, sadly. I hope they eventually carry it over to normal melee as it's an interesting mechanic for all charge attacks.

They added this to dual wielding so that people still had the ability to power throw and explode the glaive. It's actually a lil more powerful than the power throw explosion though, or so it seems.

thats actually the first thing i tired after dual wielding update.  kinda doesn't make sense that you can't share in mid air when you have just the melee equipped.
