So, I'm a person who tends to get a bit attached as time goes by, and I'd been running a mission to get a Mutagen Mass, and this one Corpus Crewman had stuck by me

My friend here... I tried with every last fiber in my being to protect him...

Yet in the end, I had failed him.

I felt it was only right to pay tribute to such a brave man, who fought the infestation till the bitter end. May you rest in peace, unknown Crewman.

I was legit saddened. I do try to protect the NPCs like they're teammates and not just pawns, especially when playing solo. We were so close to extraction too.

Glad to see there's another Tenno around who makes a habit of kindly trying to keep allies alive, even on the occasion where they're indoctrinated or otherwise undesireable. I have a feeling there's quite a mixture among crewmen where some are brainwashed(Neptune's indoctrination temples for instance) or are willing into the service. Far less of an attachment than even that when fighting alongside Grineer troops, but sometimes I fancy seeing if they'll be alive towards the end.
