last i checked 666 isnt a meme, sure its a significant and well known number but nothing so mind blowing warrenting a whole post because the open squads happened to be said number at that time.

Fun part about the number 666 is that its a mistranslation of 616 which is a reference to Nero which is a reference to Hell that was ALSO misinterpreted as being a lake of fire when the codex that it was mis interpreted from called it "fire that sticks" or "sticky fire" ala hot Tar which was screwed from the original  version of Hel which is a world of pure frost.

It was used because of a man called casar or something

Nero Claudius and his fall. He burned Rome for 8 days , blamed christians for hating mankind and burned them in rings of fire. These rings are then represented as "circles" later on.

 

"The Christian poet Commodian (fl. AD 260) also writes of the Antichrist, when Nero will return from hell."

 

nero is a reference to a mis-interpreted hell and thought to soon return in some form as the anti christ.
