Hallowed Ground almost never registers

Using Hallowed Ground as Oberon in the plains often doesn't work. I jump around, jump up, jump up, and get down on it and I only get the hallowed ground buff for a split second (and, ofc, the armor buff until I turn off renewal) late into the ability's duration.

I don't actually know if this is specific to the plains but it's where I've observed it

it is indeed quite anoying.  I have to spam it covering the entire field to get a glimpse of buff. I end up using it almost exclusively to get the armor buff instead of a way of CC because is extremely unreliable.
