Bounty Objectives' desync caused 2 objectives present simultaneously and update

Got this bug when picking a tier 5 Bounty (before the hotfix). My head hurts after trying to understand what was happening on the screenshots... but, okay, let's start:

Upon leaving the Cetus I noticed that I have 2 locations marked on my map with a single objective:

Call them 1a (right) and 1b (left)

When I completed 1a I got an objective update to locate the drone (while also keeping the left location on my map). From this moment I had 2 objectives: 1b (exterminate) and 2a (drone), I moved to 1b and completed it to get another bounty update which is 2b:

At this point I was doing the "previous" objectives in order they appeared:

1. Locate the drone
   1. Find the caches
2. Find the armoured vault
   1. Kill enemies in the area
3. Sabotage the supplies
   1. Insta-failed once I stepped in the mission range), the 2.1 bugged out with the vault not opening so I had to abandon the mission range to fail it.

Result: everything is failed

I have no idea what could lead to a situation like this or if it's even possible to reproduce it, and my head hurts even more...
