White_Matter Posted October 27, 2017 Share Posted October 27, 2017 We had one today with the elemental enhancement variation. 3 groups I was in failed(people kept dying and left) and the 4th one I joined in I left because it was too boring. The main problem here is that the mobs get stuck in those corridors, so each wave takes alot longer than usual to finish and people keep dying because of poison gas, trying to search mobs in the corridors. Syncronocity Posted October 27, 2017 Share Posted October 27, 2017 Well, I was on Gara, had a trinity, a nova, and a banshee. Wasn't too bad, but it was definitely a slog. Between keeping up shard armor on everyone and spamming mass vitrify to stun and vuln waves of enemies, and the fact that the whole map was designed by the Queen of Sadists after a dry spell... woof. There is nothing fixed, this mission is still totally terrible, the hostage is suicidal to the maxx. Remove this mission from sortie or give the hostage a bit more intelligence, let him walk around in the inner circle instead of going to to the gas area. Tbh the defense missions where you're protecting a target seem odd to me. Like, nothing is happening. The guy isn't hacking to extract data, he is seemingly not trying to escape, he's not doing anything, just wandering around. Never in my entire life did I think I would say this, but it would be way more fun if these were escort missions and you have huge waves of enemies coming at you trying to stop you. Kind of like the actual payload escort thing in corpus missions. To get the guy out of the hallways you can try to switch teleport him (either out of there or keep switch teleporting him somewhere so he can't wander), or ripline if it works on him since Valkyrs are more common in those missions. We should be allowed to destroy the turrets and flamethrowers. and we need to be able to shut off the electric floor and gas chambers. searhus Posted October 28, 2017 Share Posted October 28, 2017 ai is in need of fix.. just sits in gas and dies dies dies... 4 failed sorties 3 of 4 where ai decided to go into a no no zone and start the domino of death cycle radiation stacked on gas stacked on swarm.... watch my rhino defense melt like soft butter in a hot pan..... not feeling like trying again just gonna let timer run out..... too many traps in this final sortie and to be gambling on receiving a stupid ayatan or 3hr booster? The group was decent and we didn't run into much trouble. People died alot though and at the end of each wave we had to search the entire map to find those mobs stuck in the corridords.
