The Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire)

Scene: A glass arena somewhere on the plains of Eidolon…

The audience: a group of nervous Osterons, twichy trigger-fingered Grineer and placid Corpus.

Front and centre is s benevolently smiling Lotus. Several enterprising bad buys have tried to kill her already, but Vauban’s Repelling Bastille has so far held off - quite literally - all comers.

In the Royal Box to the left sits Vor, Kirrel, and Ruhk. In the box to the right sits Ergo Glast, Nef Anyo and Alad V.

In the Orchestra pit, Octavia tunes up the Mandachord, Atlas bashes a few dojo drums and his golems clobber a few dojo bells, while conductor Baro Ki’Teer twiddles his fingers nervously.

Vombulists glow eerily again the glass walls and below them the infested press hungrily against the base. The cracks are already beginning to show. 

An Eidolon hoots mournfully in the distance because he was told he’d have to buy two tickets due to his enormous size and is considering suing the producers (the Corpus naturally!) for speciesism. 

Two sanguine emus bouncers throw out yet another Nox without a ticket, trying to claim to be Buzz Lightyear.

A few Osprey make it over Gara’s high glass wall only to be shot down by a hovering Zephyr with a Vectis Prime.

A chorus line of high kicking moa break free of the curtains and Nef Anyo exclaims; “By the Void” loudly enough for everyone to know who the major investor is. Ergo tries to comfort him as Volt shoos the finale off the stage in a shower of sparks.

Kayla de Thame is of course streaming the entire thing, together with her customary squalling commentary.

Finally Banshee, in charge of sound production hits everyone with Savage Silence and Hydroid and Nidus, tentacles and infested pod draw the curtains of the stage back to reveal a cast of Tenno in their deluxe skins. The scene is Valac, Europa and the snow falls gently on the mountains while a gentle breeze blows the Ki’Teer Solstice Syandana and seasonally coloured red and green ribboned  Mozi syandana of the assembly.The silent Tenno rock to the beat Atlas set with their Pendulum Narata emotes, Mirage prime tosses a Star into the air and blows a kiss to the auudience while Ash briefly face palms in embarrassment. Valkyr steps up to the mic and screams (pardon me!) sings;   

“Infested roasting on Ember and Nehza’s fire,
Frost’s chilling globe nipping at Grineer toes,
Second Dream soundtrack being hummed by Sentients,
And Warframes dressed up in Tennogen
Corpus are all men!

A Raptor and some heavy explosive;
Help to make the season bright.
Kavat, Heminth and Kubrow with their eyes all aglow
Will open many lockers tonight.

We know that Eidolons, Zanuka, G3  and Stalker are on the way!
They’ll drop many cores and goodies when we slay!
And every; Space mom’s child (especially Loki and Ivara) are going to Spy
To figure out how Titania and Vey Hek can even fly.

And so we’re offering this simple meme,
From Ghost, Shadow, Storm, Mountain, Moon clans and Alliance too.
Although we have died many times many way,
Tennobaum grofit to you!”

The glass wall shatters spectacularly as the high kicking moa once again flood the stage and the Tenno disappear in cloud of Ash’s special effect smoke, rescue the captive Osterons and extract in their ships with Lotus before the audience know what’s hit them.
