So, we know that a new golem is coming. And he is going to be big. So, this is a suggestion to keep the original golem and add the new one. You say: "How will this work or, how will this fit into lore."

So, I say that the current golem should become a mini-boss defender of the "Larger Golem."

I don't see any season to save the current golem.  It's not like he has a unique model or something that can't be seen anywhere else.  He's only a toxic ancient.

I'm hoping for something that fills a Corpus tile with some classic large boss mechanics like the good old days in games like Contra (Or as some say, Shadow of the Colossus).

In all seriousness, I like the idea of mini bosses. Maybe they could give out reliable rewards, but not as rare as boss rewards. Like one could always give x amount of an uncommon resource and maybe a blueprint for a weapon or something.

As long as it's something relatively small, but desirable.
