How to Use Limbo for Spy?

Hi. I want to start farming Ivara so I can stop living in fear of when we get Spy Sorties. Unfortunately, that means actually getting her parts by getting 3/3s on spy vaults, which I find hard to do. Lo and behold, the other day I find out that apparently Limbo is useful for soloing spies. Only, I'm not sure I get the sentiment? The advice I got was to use his two, but that just freezes enemies in the rift according to the wiki - how are you supposed to be able to get them into the rift in the first place without setting off the alarms?

Sensor Regulators seem to not care about Stasis, at least when hit by Cataclysm. They set off the alarm as soon as they enter Stasis Cataclysm. 

You can banish them though and stasis will stick. Once in stasis they won't detect you anymore.
