Whatever the case, the changes made to certain weapons, such as Soma and Akstilleto, make those weapons sound just sickly. The new sounds alter the feel of the game in a negative, disappointing way. I don't normally play with the volume very high, and the new sounds don't sound so great at low volume. With the speakers on at decent volume, the Soma and Akstilleto sound good. It is a toy gun now, and DE wishes to reflect that XD But yeah, quite a few guns sound a lot less "sharp" and "hard" when firing. The sonic crack just isn't there anymore. Seems like you killed the bass on many weapons which makes them sound much worse.
