Gnohme Posted February 27, 2018 Share Posted February 27, 2018 (edited) These feel kind of finnicky, or at least too rushed in some areas. There are some areas where there is clearly non-volatile scenery that is a perfect height to jump back up to a catwalk from, but as soon as I touch foot in it (or before I even reach it, talking a 6-10 foot fall) the screen starts fading black. Sometimes I've already begun to rebound back onto the ledge, but my screen darkens before I can get back up and I'm teleported back to the edge. The worst of it is when my modified bullet jump distance breaches the height of certain tiles when I'm trying to climb up one level (I think this happened on Mars). It can be a little jarring to be trying to maneuver midair when all of a sudden you're placed *somewhere* nearby because your toe touched down just an inch too far or your head hit an invisible ceiling. I wonder if maybe some of these "ring out" areas were designed for an older version of Parkour (to keep people from getting stuck)? Pre-bullet jump perhaps?
