Why Are There No Elite Troopers?

It seems odd to me that Lancers get better guns and heavier armour for the harder missions, yet Troopers, who fight at much close ranges (and therefor arguably need such things more) don't.

 

Would it really be that hard to tint an Elite Lancer yellow, give them the Trooper helm and a Sobek?

they already have sobeks

but sure why not give them an "elite" version

although the grineer are getting pretty nasty already what with:

flamers

bombards

hvy gunners

hellions

eviscerators

seekers

cmndrs

flame blades

ETC

IMHO the other factions need more luvins

More troop variety in general would be good. Practically, every enemy type could have a variaty of weapon options:

Light Grineer with Grakatas (like in the E3 trailer).

Flameblades with Amphis or Machetes.

Scorpions with dual Cleavers.

Commanders with Twin Vipers.

Scorches with Napalm Launchers.

 

Also you could vary their equipment more randomly:

Personal shields

Cloaking devices

Jetpacks

Combat Drugs

Propaganda loudspeakers

Heavy helmets for light Grineer

Different kinds of grenades (flash, smoke, EMP, toxic, elemental)

 

Grineer could benefit from more underslung weapons to their Grakatas:

Bajonets (mini Machetes)

One time use grenade launcher

Ignis fuel cell for limited use

 

Every Grineer could be a box of chocolates. :)

Do they? I haven't really been to Phobos so I didn't know that.

and it hurts -_- my poor Nova's shield can only take so much punishment before her frail frame breaks. On normal Missions you can't just M-Boom to get out of jail-free. It's actually quite the balanced skill.
