Massive FPS drop while viewing the Mod Console

So this is an old problem that I noticed a while ago on my desktop and have now been able to reproduce on a new laptop with different hardware. My FPS drops drastically as soon as I open the Mod Console. On my desktop I can literally hear my GPU fans going into overdrive, while on my new laptop my FPS drops from 60 to below 30. There is something seriously wrong with the hardware load while viewing that specific console. This only happens when viewing mods through that Console and does not happen when modding in the Arsenal.

Does this for me as well. In fact virtually all of the menus on the orbiter freeze initially when I activate them. Performance in general has gone down since 22.20.0. Before then I could hold 144 FPS nearly always. Now it dips as low as sub-60 if I even so much as look at something other than a wall. It's particularly bad on Kuva Fortress, especially with a squad of four. I'm hoping they fix it soon.
