skipping causes game loading to freeze

so I have had this problem for like a week now. everytime I skip an animation (f.e. the landing sequence at a relay) it freezed the landing craft where it was at that moment, and when you wnat to go back into the craft, it gets you stuck inside the loading screen. yes I did verify the data, yes I did optimize it, yes I did reinstall, I installed it in steam (after uninstalling) to see if that helped (it didn't). not only does it freeze you in the loading screen, but it also unsharpens textures (for whatever reason), and doesn't load certain icons.
