I had some spare rhino stomps that I was going to sell anyway so I decided to throw them in the pot with a spare slash dash to complete the mix. 30,000 credits later and what pops out of the pot? A Thief's Wit and I just face-palmed. three rare mods and one common made a common... for 30,000 credits... yup, should have just sold them... Thoughts? Then again no one really knows the formula/system that is being used but I would bet you have better chance with 4 rares. Also, as much as I hate hearing it, rng is rng. Selling Rares for credits is a waste since most people have millions, and if you dont run some voids. Ability Rares are the best to use since their polarity isn't good for leveling up other rare mods except for ability ones of course but those are easy to level. IF you have extra rares laying around Transmute them. I do not see the harm in it. I actually like the system, give you something to do with them. Inez Posted August 24, 2013 Share Posted August 24, 2013 How to transmute: Use 4 mods of the same rarity. This will give you a mod of the same rarity. With rares, do not use all 4 the same. Using 4 of the same rare mods together will give you a common. To be safe, I would use 4 different rare mods. Using this I finally got Retribution and some other rare mod I've never found in tons and tons o' void runs. Yes, I blew many hundreds of thousands of credits and rares on transmuting. If you don't have hundreds of thousands of credits and tons of rares to blow, you prolly shouldn't transmute. And if you're hurting for credits go to the recruiting channel and join void runs.
