Anyway, you can be like me and POTATO EVERYTHING. I have all the alert melee weapons. All potatoed. It sure is hard to type in a straight jacket. If they did then it wouldn't matter which weapon you potato/forma from a DPS perspective. Only sound, recoil, reload speed, and other characteristics would matter. Only your comfort level with the weapon would matter. This is not the case. They stated that not all weapons are going to be equal. While I don't think that every weapon of a tier will have the same DPS (the Acrid would be balls if it had equal DPS, since its damage is not frontloaded like most weapons), they will outclass weapons of previous tiers at the very least.
