(Dual) Bronco With Barrel Diffusion

Hello,

My dual broncos fire 6 pellets per shot regardless if I use my 120% Barrel DIffusion (multishot) mod or not.

 

I believe this started happening after the sound FX got hotfixed, not sure.

 

Anyone else notice this? Is this intended?

Looking forward to replies.

Someone posted on the wiki that it just displays six, but deals the appropriate amount of pellets/damage.

 

I don't know for sure whether damage is actually reduced, but it's kinda disheartening to see the visual pellet reduction.

I believe it the bullets just deal extra damage, the amount that the extra pellets would deal divided into each piece.

When you test it on enemies, you still see the appropriate number of damage pop ups. This bug seems to just be a rendering bug. I've tested it on Hek, Strun and Dual Broncos (all shotguns and the broncos are affected by this).

Yeah, I hoped that was the case too, but I have done some testing and the damage is also unchanged. Shooting things in point-blank shows 6 damage pop-ups still, so I assume only 6 pellets are fired. The mod has no effect whatsoever.

 

 

I'm new to the forums, does any higher-ups read/act on stuff written here?

What level enemies are you trying this on? Again, I tested this as well in T3 and I see 14-16 damage popups with Dual Broncos.

While I haven't been using my Dual Broncos much in-game, I have been using my Hek (also only shows 6 pellets) and it's still killing enemies in the same number of shots as before.

 

EDIT: Here we go. The reason you're not seeing all the damage popups is because you're doing more than enough damage to kill whatever enemy you were fighting. It's only going to show the damage that was needed to kill them.

 

Example 1:

2 damage popups on this Grineer because he only has 30 HP

Huh. That's consistent with my testing, too. Didn't think of that at first.

 

Still, shooting things like shield drones feels MUCH more difficult than before. More often than not only a pellet or two hits even at short range.

Perhaps the extra 6 pellets are fired in the same spot as the original ones? Impossible to confirm or disprove by testing, but something's off.

When you are the host, you see all numbers. When someone else is hosting, you only see 6. That's at least in my case. Also, with only 6 numbers appearing, it seems like broncos are nerfed because they don't hit multiple enemies that effectively anymore.
