The Solution To The Void Drop Tables

They're fine and I'm fine with them as they are, really.

I just feel that what we really need is whenever a new item is added or adjustment is made to the void drop tables, the dev who did it must then legit grind for the keys and then for the prime parts before they can receive their next paycheck.

Suffering is only fun when it's shared.

Tower V keys!

The point is that at some point, there are going to be too many prime parts for our current set of keys to hold semi-reasonably (we may still be there). Then we make a new set. All that does is put that point further in the future, but seriously, something needs to be done to stop key creep and dilution-even if it's not a problem right now, it will become one because they're not going to stop adding primes any time soon. There's been plenty of great ideas suggested for this, we just need to find a way to convince DE enough of us want them.

As long as the RNG isn't psuedo-random, the drop-tables are in the iron grip of pure random. That isn't fine. You can literally play hundreds of hours and not get that one thing. So much time wasted with absolutely no progress.. that isn't fine.

Do a run enough times and you will get what you want (law of probability). Its all about the chances.

Do a run enough times and you will get what you want (law of probability). Its all about the chances.

Even then presuming a 10% chance to drop (i doubt most parts are even that high) even after 30 runs there is still a 4.2% (40 runs it is 1.5%) chance you wont have found the item you are after.  The issue being is evey item is only useful once you have all the parts making it based purely on the lowest drop rate of a part.  Meaning the other parts could be 100% or 50% drop chance, it makes little difference.

The kicker is that there are 102 individual parts (blueprints included) required for all prime gear currently in the game (not including orokin cells).  Presuming you get exceptionally lucky and get every single time and get it on the first try thats 102 missions.  There is are only 24 missions within the void (counting tiers seperate) making it just over 4 bits per mission type (so lets say 4 some are duplicates afterall).

Though thats hardly likely, so lets say you get very lucky and average one part every 5 missions, thats 510 missions (a fair few dont you think).

Realistically you will be running atleast 10 mission per part on average (there is a fair chunk of filler drops) for a total of 1020 missions (just for prime gear), or about 40 missions per type.  Thats the game as it is now.

We know more frames will be primed.  Trinity, Volt, Ash, Saryn and Banshee are close to certanties; adding another 20 parts to that equasion.  So another 200 missions for those (presuming the 1 in 10 average).

Most Prime frames come out with atleast two weapons that have 3-5 parts, so lets say 4 for simplicity, thats another 40 parts, thusly an additional 400 missions.

Tally that up and we have an average of 1620 missions just to geat prime gear.  So lets just call it 1600 for the sake of descrepencies be they purchases, stacking rewards and a bit of luck.

Each of those needs a key; so we need 1600 keys.  But lets presume that you always play with the same team of 4, so thats 400 missions for the keys (1600 / 4).

Now we are tallying up to 2000 missions just for prime parts.

Make of that what you will.

Edit: Forgot about the second bronco prime for akbronco prime

Make of that what you will.

Things could have been so much better if Baro actually sold already existing Prime parts and not stuff they newly invented for him ... Nova Nyx Prime? 500 ducats + 250k Credits per part, please. Bo Prime Handle? 200 ducats. Mag Prime? Oh, that's quite an old model, she's only 50 ducats per part.

/e: I guess he wouldn't offer the most recent stuff, so people keep buying Prime Access.
