Thank You, De, For Buffing Single Pistols

Weapon augments like Entropy Strike, Stinging Truth and Winds of Purity give a much needed use for single variants of pistols that can be crafted into dual pistols.  While statistical buffs to even them out would've been nice, giving them unique functionality over dual variants is still a step in the right direction.

 

Hopefully we'll see more of these for weapons like the Lato, Vasto, Lex, and so on.  It would even be nice if it encouraged release of single variants of weapons that only come in dual form, like Akzani, Akstiletto, and so on.

I do like how these augment mods for weapons give life to the single weapons, but they should also work for the dual versions. I mean...the dual versions are just...better. In a perfect world everything in the game would be "OP" and it would work. But sadly, no...

That would remove the point of buffing single pistols.

 

Yes. Single pistol users rejoice. For far too long has our Brakk & Marelok been underperforming. Vaykor Marelok solves the power-gap that those notoriously OP akboltos set.

 

Er..?  The Brakk has always been far too good.  I'm talking about weapon augments, not the syndicate weapons.

I'd like the accuracy and recoil of the single-variants improved.

This would be better than making single pistols across the board 'better' via mods.  Dual pistols should give two things, faster fire rate, more ammo per 'clip' (As you're using two), the base damage should stay the same, and the accuracy should suffer for it.

I like the syndicate mods for classic pistols but...

 

Are the DEVs really knowing what they do when they choose Magnetic AoE on the Bolto (Puncture, designed for Grineers)?

 

Gas AoE on the Telos AkBolto (Also Puncture...)?

 

Etc Etc.

 

 

I like the concept but how can i take it seriously when i see that? Just check the Damage 2.0 Table, or just check your codex, Magnetic or Gas is unefficient against Grineers...

 

 

I would appreciate an accurate statement about that and a designed change of the mod to the proper syndicate.
