  1. Also having the same probem, also grateful for the assist.

Suggest this requirement be made clearer to the user. I never would have guessed this, based on what I saw in-game.

  2. When purchasing a blueprint, after the purchase, you have to manually close the item window. This should be changed so that after clicking on the "Thank You" message, the user is automatically taken back to the general Market screen. Once an item is purchased -weapon, blueprint, whatever- the user should be placed so they are once again on a convenient screen/window to make another purchase. Conversely, I would guess it would be extremely rare that a user, having purchased an item, would then want to purchase another one of the same item. I'm sure it happens, but not most of the time.

I like the fact that after a purchase, your cash appears to have melted or bled away. It draws attention to the fact of the loss of funds, and I like the effect. Kudos.

I just purchased a blueprint for a Bolto, and the fact of the purchase didn't register properly; the blueprint didn't show up in my inventory immediately. I had to log out and then back in before it showed up. Fix, please.

  3. Received an 11.1% Fire Rate melee weapon mod.

    Fix, please.

(If this is actually a correct mod, then please change the titling to something like "Speed" or "Attack Rate" so it doesn't sound like it's not correct. You don't 'fire' a sword.)

  4. Not saying that feeling like you got cheated is a bad thing once you "get used to the idea". I just haven't achieved that Zen-like state yet. I'm still at the "Damn! I paid $15,000 for THIS?!?" stage. And from that uninformed, emotional point of view......this blueprint is crap.

I'm sure I'll get used to it, too, eventually. But until then...

    Just saying'

  5. Since the thread appears to have been hijacked, and the OP has abandoned it, I'll weigh in off-topic as well. I like animated avatars, +1 for that. Gravatar works for me as well.

The reasoning is simple: what's the purpose of showing an avatar? To me, it's to express individuality, which really isn't improved by substituting 6 or 10 or 15 choices for the original single choice. If you want people to represent themselves with an image....let them. If you don't care for animations, no disrespect intended, but maybe the web ain't your thang. Animations (and/or flash) are pretty commonplace.

+1 also for the idea of allowing username colors to represent achievements or awards. Devs use bright red, why not let Grand Masters/Masters/etc. use some other bright color(s) to call attention to their contributions to the game. Same idea could be applied to members who exceed various post thresholds, along the lines of a 'superuser' or similar, or to last week's/month's top people on the leaderboards. Seems like a nice perk for leading the pack. To cut down on forum maintenance, only award this perk if a player's been top 10 on a monthly leaderboard three times, or three consecutive times, something like that.

As far as the size of the badges goes, I bought one, and I have no objection to making them a little bit smaller. But it seems to me.....they'd make pretty decent avatars themselves, just like they are. And I'd certainly use mine for that purpose, at least some of the time. Why not let Founders use them for that purpose now?

  6. Currently, the Akbolto blueprint ($15,000) consists of:

Step 1. Acquire 2 Boltos (an additional $15,000 for the blueprints, or 350 plat to purchase)

Step 2. Strap on an Orokin Cell. ($?)

I'm thinking this is pretty skimpy for how much they cost you. Bascially you're purchasing the right to spend more money, which is almost guaranteed to leave a bad taste in the customer's mouth.

Suggestions would be to re-make the requirements so they more closely resemble other blueprints ("1000 of these, 800 of that", etc.) or else make it clear prior to purchasing the blueprints that it's just an upgrade, and that owning 2 Boltos is a prerequisite.

  7. So we sneak onto Grineer ships (looks like we're dropping down out of some sort of vent or air-circ system when a level starts, and we're always told we're initially "undetected") and yet we leave via the huge freight-dock sized doorways with one-man ships that are just sitting in them, waiting for us? ("I'd like to apply for the Head of Security position that just became available?")

So when we leave, we just fit our Warframes into the underside of said ships and fly away into space, with no covering or shielding, but if we blow out a window on a Grineer ship and air begins escaping, THAT'S a serious issue?

My belief-suspenders are taking a beating here...

  8. I agree, and Draakje makes a much more persuasive argument than I could have. I just hates the leetle sumunabatches, but that's not really a cogent arguement for eliminating them. Thanks, Draakje.

  9. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate the help. I'll try Borderless Windowed, that mivght be what I'm looking for.

I was actually trying to farm some of the components I'm missing for some blueprints, so I wanted to have the taskbar visible so I could occasionally swap screens with my browser to see which system(s) I need to work through next to pick up the things I don't currently have. I just assumed (perhaps naively) that something called "Windowed Mode" would drop the game window into a typical desktop window, or at least something similar.

If the windowed mode cuts off part of the game's image.....doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having such a mode? I'm certainly not in love with it, there are other ways to quickly slip out of the game and then back in if I need to check a wiki or a web page. So if it's going to hide essential parts of the screen real estate like what I just grabbed off the floor, or how much ammo I have left, why not just drop Windowed Mode altogether?

  10. Normally I run in full-screen mode, but today I decided to try out the windowed mode. Found the mode doesn't respect the taskbar in Win7 64-bit (1920x1080). Can't see the bottom of the screen - ammo, pick-ups, etc.

BTW, I notice that when I post, "Enable emoticons" & "Enable Sig" are checked by default. Where can I add a sig? I normally list my system specs in my sig when beta testing. Haven't found them yet here. Or any advanced posting options, beyond bold-italics-underline. Am I overlooking them?

  11. You might have gained mass. Have you been eating right?

I actually had the opposite happen. Earlier today on an asteroid level I jumped off a platform, supposedly heading for the ground. Instead I damn near flew, found myself stuck about 50 'feet' forward & 30 'feet' up a wall. Couldn't move but could rotate & fire, so I shot bad guys to help my team and eventually fell back off the wall.

  12. Playing on a team of two on a ship mission -sorry didn't jot down which mission (bad! bad! BAD!!!) but it was almost certainly an Earth system mission as I spent all day there today. Problem was, I was out of LiveAgains, and I expired. After I died, as I'm following my living teammate, he comes upon a two-man door, which of course he/we can no longer open. Eventually he ended up dying to end the mission.

Is this supposed to be a possibility? If not, then this is a bug. If this is supposed to be a possible outcome on team missions, then it needs to be changed. We had completed the mission objective, (both of them, actually--I think there was an assination followed by a single-data-item fetch quest) and were on our way to the pickup point, and ended up being forced by poor level design to fail the mission. Excremental.

EDIT: Sorry, this should probably have been posted under "Mission Bugs".

  13. Uhhh......I actually experienced the bug referred to in the title. Was in a Grineer asteriod, Earth Mission (sorry, didn't jot down which one), team mission, jumped off a platform and launched into the air, in a manner obviously different from anormal jump. Found myself stuck crouched on a pipe sticking out of a wall well above my teammates. Could spin, couldn't move, found I could aim & fire, so I started shooting down on some bad guys and eventually (5-10 secs) fell back off the wall and continued play as before. Hasn't repeated.
