he's telling people to not play a game they dislike. not telling them to quit. why does play time even matter in this discussion? if it works for the majority of the community, i'm doubtful DE will try to please the small and loud 1% who dislike it. if we're going to bring up entitlement in this game, saying you want to get rewarded for not doing something you called easy is a prime example of it.

Who says it's the majority that likes it and that we are in the minority? Until you have actual numbers to prove it don't try to bring in an argument like that.

Nowhere did I state that I want rewards for no work, if you read my comment about it in one of the threads about it you would see why, if anything NW is not hard, it has no difficulty to it, it's just a long and boring chore that makes people lose the will to play the game. Which is why it feels unrewarding.

i don't get why folks don't like the railjack's looks and speed, a lot of people are complaining that it looks too slow.

I am an avid Star Trek, Herbert, Niven/Pornelle and Asimov fan and possibly because of this I like the idea of slow naval-like engagements. I also think the ship looks pretty cool, too. I like it when ships don't look like ships from other franchises.

That said, I wouldn't mind multiple ships (or a Sigma Prime or something like that) or even fighters (even though I'm pretty sure this is fulfilled by archwing)

    Probably because of this:

Shouldn't by that logic DE stop doing events all together? since it forces you to do something you may not want to.

Because one design works it doesn't excuse an awful design that's wearing out players.

People complain about anything, even if it's exponentially better then the system that it replaced.  Forcing you to play the game isn't really bad, because if you dislike playing the game so much maybe you shouldn't play it.

Or maybe you don't tell people to not play the game, especially if those people have been for way longer here than you have? Just because something works for you it doesn't meant that it works for everyone. The entitlement from people nowdays.

For you...is tedious and boring for you...if you want that reward you'll swim through S#&$ to get it...or you just won't.

All you are pointing out is that you want the rewards but not the hassle of actual work to get it...yes, doing content that you don't enjoy is taken as work.

There's no power on this universe that will make me play chroma/sniper so I won't be getting arcanes...and that's a good thing because it makes free game time to do the things that I do enjoy.

Keep believing that. That doesn't excuse it's BS format.

Rewards gated behind content you don't like....

why do you feels like you deserve that reward? I friking hate eidolons and all the meta that comes with them...I don't go asking for arcanes on the content that I like...I like arbitrations but I barely do them because I don't have time...I don't go asking for vitrus in other content...

Why do YOU deserve rewards for a content you don't play?

Plain and simple, NW is tedious and boring, it's not challenging. Everyone can do it if they are willing to put up with the chore that it is however most of us lose the will to play the game because of it, after the first season I didn't play WF for a long time because of it.

So if the Umbra Forma was put behind something that's hard and a challenge I wouldn't have problems with it as it actually would feel rewarding compared to the BS that is Nightwave.

  6. Kingpin system is a thing of it's own unrelated to Empyrean, no idea if there are Corpus Kingpins, they were shown originally when it was first revealed long ago. Our crew is ours, people and factions willing to help the Tenno, civilians, syndicates and so.

Mate, with or without the Lotus, they'd try and wipes us out anyway. The Lotus is not the "good" character she used to be. She got corrupted. She wouldn't be stopping them, and she sure as hell wouldn't be trying to go for peace. Achieving peace by subjugating everyone else is not piece, it's just waiting for those subjugated to explode and start another conflict. Lotus cannot achieve peace, her means are very much fighting against that.

Plus, you're looking at it from an overview perspective. But our Operator does not have the knowledge we, as players, have. All the Operators know is that the Lotus betrayed them and brought an army down on their arses. Survival is reason enough to fight back.

Or she could be doing it of her own free will, and your indecision will just lead to a lot of death and destruction that could have been avoided have you had the balls to fight back. Yeah, we don't know everything. We never will. But indecision is worst than fighting for your beliefs. So, you be a coward and wait for people to deliver the information, should it ever surface, I'll be out on the fields with my trusty Opticor fighting your battles for you. Your fate is in my hands, so I hope you won't mind the outcome.

Nowhere did I state that I will be indecisive and not take action, those are your word, this argument has nothing to do with the question at hand. And don't act all high and mighty like your word means any more than anyone elses, also refrain from insulting others.

So next time you reply think through what you are about to write before you make a fool of yourself.

Yeah, if her way to deal with grief is to bring an army that will kill us all, then I think we have full rights to defend ourselves and take her own life instead. She made a choice, she betrayed us, I don't give second chances, so she's dead when I see her.

Ignorance at it's finest. For all we know she could be brainwashed by the others which seems likely considering what Hunhow said to her in the Natah quest. Don't be quick to jump a conclusion when we don't know the full extent of things around it.

  9. Don't think that Kingpin system is strictly tied to it as more than likely you will be able to do it outside of the railjack segment of the game as well.

However I do wonder if the Kingpins(Kuva Liches) will be strictly Grineer or if they can be Corpus as well like it was originally shown.

    Excuse me?

Can you link it please? and yes, given them factors, that or just more hype injections

There already is, not everyone likes Nightwave so it seems

Perhaps, but a new boss fight added to an already existing world is not really something to "chew down on" as you and me, to the next person will just bring the Meta Build and be done with the boss within 2-3 days, same as Orb Mother.

Gauss will be likely added to Little Duck (and given the have the other Orb) it's likely Vets and most players have Rep stocked up, so while that is "something" it be done and dusted quite quickly and then what else is there?, besides leveling/Froma the new weapons/Guass

Unrewarding? This season gives you a stencil (25p), a skin (40p - 50p), an operator suit (90p - 110p), a shoulder armor (40p), an arcane (100p) and other things. That's 300p worth of things already and the tasks aren't that hard, most of them are things you do in normal gameplay like playing index for credits so it's like you're complaining for the sake of complaining. Alerts are less rewarding by a large margin when you're forced to be ready to open warframe 24/7 to get things and there's almost no good things whatsoever. Missed one weapon or cosmetic blueprint? Well, wait for an unknown time until it appears again that may take month or longer and no guarantee that it will appear when you're available unless you can open warframe in the middle of the class/work/meeting/sleep because you only have an hour or less to do it.

So no, I find nightwave to be less stressful and most can be done in casual shenanigans without worrying about missing it because I can't be online at certain time

Yes unrewarding, the time spent on it is not equal the worth of it. If we compare events and operations to this you get stuff of the same value or more in much shorter time, and NW feels like that, a really long stretched out operation/event with tedious tasks.

So yeah we can agree to disagree.

Simple missions and people still complain -.- You dont need to complete all of then OR any if you dont want. They are all pretty ez. Some people will never be satisfied. Its a replacement for the old alert system. Not a "must do or you cant play".

Well I do so because I want to be over with this BS as soon as possible. It's and awful and flawed system that needs to go away.

Why replacing something, if both the alert system and nightwave can co-exist at the same time?

Because the stuff it offers I don't intend to miss and NW happens to be an awful system which I explained earlier why it's the case.

Hell I'd they could make an hybrid out of the 2 where you get alerts that give you creds that you can use in Nora's reward shop to exchange for whatever goods she offers. Without having to do any of those BS challenges. And stuff not being time limited.

  14. Just now, DerGreif2 said:

It is not needed in any freaking way. Its a bonus. Nothing more. You dont need ephemeras or operator skins. Its also not rude to tell it: its the truth. There is nothing to do and when there is something to do and you dont want it your only choice is to wait for more. Untill then: run around in your orbiter OR play somthing else. Nothing to do with "being rude".

Well good luck getting any Nitain without it.

And yes it's rude, he clearly states that the mode makes him play the game less and less which is a problem a lot of us have including myself despite the fact that I love the game and would like to play more.

  15. 18 minutes ago, DerGreif2 said:

Nightwave is something to do. If you dont want it: again then dont do it. Play another game untill something else comes around. Thats the only advice you will get.

It is a mandatory part of the game which is needed, you can't avoid it. It need's to go away because of how awful it is. Also it's rude to tell people to go play something else like that so maybe don't act all up and high.

  16. 4 minutes ago, Yamazuki said:

Given it's people with "jobs" complaining, certain schedules made it impossible to get Nitian regularly through alerts. My partner works 6 days a week, it was impossible for 6 days out of the week to get even a single one unless she stayed up late to get one. Getting 1-2 per is week low. I am unaffected by rewards being distributed in either fashion as my personal schedule is far more flexible and I got all my Nitain a long time ago, with enough to spare to have been making Aura Formas.

Alerts rewarded so little you would also be doing them over and over and over; with this in mind, I also fail to see how alerts were less grindy than NW, and given they had very limited activities to do, they surely were not less repetitive than NW.

It seems many people are suffering from major memory loss when it comes to alerts.

Once again I said "flawed", I'm not asking for the old alerts to return, I'm stating that NW is an awful system that's even worse than alerts ever were which is why it needs to be replaced.

  17. 14 minutes ago, Yamazuki said:

Alerts didn't allow you to play at your own pace, you had to play when the alert was there, or fully miss out on the rewards, meaning you had to play every single day at specific times if you wanted Nitain for example; where as with NW you really only have to play one or two days out of an entire week to complete weekly challenges, you don't have to worry about finishing all dailies, and they last 3 days and stack up too.

Which is why I said flawed, however you weren't pressured by time limit to obtain content from them as most of the stuff would constantly re-appear and the more important drops would stay for an entire day or longer. Also Nitain was there daily, you could grab 2 a day.

So yeah it was far more open than this current format. And most of the times I didn't have to worry about the alerts.

  18. 2 hours ago, Voltage said:

The premise and foundation of Nightwave is pretty solid, and we don't need alerts back. The only thing that would improve this is giving more challenge variety. I feel there are too few challenges per week and the player is limited on what they can skip. For me I know I can do most challenges, but having a huge list of challenges from easy to hard or maybe throw in Conclave/Lunaro/Archwing or something would really give players at-least something in their comfort zone all the time. The mentality of getting them all done is understandable and feeling forced to play Nightwave, but at the same time a large variety would be less punishing to players who prefer to play a few specific areas of the game and the ones who do everything will see no change, especially with catchup mechanics.

That couldn't be more wrong than it is. NW is the worst thing that has happened to WF. It's tedious, stressful, unrewarding and hindering.

In order to get everything you have to play 10+ weeks of it with it being time limited on top of that. Difficulty is not a problem here since it doesn't exist, it's the tedious nature of it which feels like you have to work or do homework instead of enjoying the game, most of the times being hindered by it instead of doing something that you would actually want to do, therefore killing one of the best aspects of the game which is playing the game at your own pace.

After being done with the first season I was glad to stop, hell I even stopped playing WF because of it despite the fact that I love the game and want to play more.Despite getting all the rewards I didn't feel like all the stress and tedious grind was worth it, too much asked for too little reward. And with season 2 looking the same as the 1st I certainly will have to go through the same torture like first time.

So yeah I'll take the old alert system, no matter how flawed over this BS that's killing the game for me and many more.

Battle Passes should stay in BR games which don't have much to offer anyway due to their simplistic nature. We don't need any of that cancer.
