  1. All im saying is 140 bucks for a warframe and some cosmetics from prime access should be enough to get the authorities involved in a raid on DE's offices, cuz that right there is government-level thievery. (mind you it has an actual value of 380$)

So you have to be right, and I have to be wrong.  Got it.

    Moving on...

That was very insightful too, thanks.

Actually, that isn't a "COMPLETE suggestion". If you continue to play the game but don't ever contribute any money nor support anyone that contributes money to the game ... you're not nearly as "useful" as someone who actually contributes money to the game.

First of all, not everyone has to contribute by paying with money. An active community is far better for the game than a handful of paying customers since no one will stick around (and pay) on an empty server.  Secondly, you are somehow reaching the conclusion that I don't spend money in the game, this baffles me as my bank account information was, to my understanding, private to me only.

EDIT: To support this, just look at how ogame turned out to be after they introduced pay to win, handful of people on each server member numbers falling down to under 300-800 players per server, meaning no one would play on an empty server, no players = less paying costumers.

So your solution to get players to play more is to make it so they don't have to play any more to get the new relics ... they can just convert their existing relics to the new relics ... because that will somehow have them play more.

Or... they could play more to get the new relics ... what is actually happening now.

at a rate of 2-4 old relics for a new one as stated on the original post, this is far from "players not playing" situation. This will only alleviate the feeling of worthlessness on those relics that people have farmed in hopes to be used on new content. Specially when we are talking about players who payed platinum and even real money for void key packs in hopes of using them later in new content. Unless you get EXTREMELY luck, and get all new items on your first few 1-5 runs (which is highly unlikely), you would still have to farm for the new relics. All this does is reduce the amount of grind by a meager percent.

Eh, sorry it doesn't rise to your level of "helpfulness".  You caught me on a snarkier day than usual.

-EDIT- After writing and then deleting an impressive series of similarly-snarky rejoinders, I'll spot you a hundred bucks for an imaginary suit of space-armor is pretty ridiculous.  But farming exists not to piss you (and I) off, but to encourage us to pay enough, as a player base, to support this free game.  If you reduce that incentive to actually pay for things, what's your solution to replacing that lost revenue for DE? Because I'm sure you realize that only looking at the part of the equation that let's you have what you want sooner -for free- is not really 'helpful' either, because it fails to address DE's need to have a revenue stream to pay for programmers, servers, lights, etc..

I'd be interested in hearing your COMPLETE suggestion: both the part where you (and I) are able to get what we want more quickly, without paying for it -PLUS- how to compensate DE for the revenue they'll lose by giving us desirable parts faster, for free.  Because just suggesting how you can get what you want faster and ignoring the consequences to DE's bottom line isn't a serious suggestion.  I'd also like to see the current system changed.  But it has to work for DE first, and all of us second.  Just making happy gamers doesn't pay the bills (sadly).

Thanks, that was helpful input too.

One COMPLETE suggestion that benefits you, me and DE is whatever suggestion that keeps people playing the game without wanting to quit.

They are less neccesary on relic share groups as you already have a descent chance of getting what you want from one of the 4 drops. Where they really shine is soloing or pugging. Also farm items by rarity starting with Commons that way when you get to the rares you have enough traces but ad I said traces aren't in any way required. They are nice but even without them the relic system is more forgiving than the old key system.

Good luck trying to get in a relic share group without a radiant.

I wish people arised similar concerns when the relic system was first brought up. I wasn't able much support when I argued that the new relic system was absolute garbage back when it was first released.

Now people are realizing it, and its a tad bit too late.

Well, DE can maybe take the complaints into consideration and do something about it. But lets keep our fingers crossed.

I did a lengthy post the very same day it was suggested that this would be the new system, one when it was released and now this one. I don't think it matters.

If you don't like this ... how about suggestions as to what would improve it. Just be warned ... not everyone likes the same things and you may find that there are holes in your ideas.

If you bothered to read the original post you would see that there was in fact a suggestion.

  6. This new relic system and wall against pre-farming relics got my jimmies pretty rustled, I'm not gonna deny that. After 3 radiant relics, all 4 players with radiant relics, i get 3-4 forma and the one time its only 3 forma the 4th item is a ducat fodder. So ok, thats messed up. Probably I won't be quitting the game but I sure as hell will stop spending money in it. Until something is done to this double grind/double RNG, I will not be supporting the game with my money.

    Re: farming

I'm reminded of the old biker truism: "A$$, gas or grass, nobody rides for free."

You want it for free?  Farm it, and pay with time.  You don't want to farm it? Pay for it with RW money.  You don't want to pay with cash or time? Do a few more hits, 'cuz fantasyland is over that way, and you aren't quite all the way there yet.

Thats a really helpful input, thanks.

Specially when the prime access is over a hundred dollars for one god damned frame. That price sure is enticing.

So you just happen to be one of the people who doesn't, there are plenty more out there

There are a lot of things that can be farmed and sold. Implying this is a bad thing just means all the other methods are a bad thing, which they aren't. There is no reason to drag down players that have been playing for longer when they are the ones that have kept this game alive, in any case they should be rewarded rather than punished.

If someone wants to farm something to sell it, so be it. thats their time playing their game. As long as people are playing the game there should not be an issue. Making activities obsolete for veterans because of a new system is not a good way to implement a new system. Either way, I offered a solution that is fair to all and works with the new system. I don't see what's so wrong about pre farming anyways.

  9. 7 minutes ago, 1tsyB1tsyN1nj4 said:

The new relics are probably specifically so you can't pre-farm them, I don't know if you know this or not, but pre-farming kinda ruins the game. It lets people like you, for example, make assloads of plat, and while that may be good for you, all the people you're selling to now have weapons and stuff that trivialize the game. Although, it can be said that the content wouldn't exist if it weren't for DE trivializing their own game

Except that I have no plat because I don't sell any of those relics or prime items.

  10. Just now, Cyborg-Rox said:

If this is seriously such a big problem for you, you could have just saved up a bunch of Standing and bought tons of Relic packs. That net me pretty much every relic I needed, and refining them and joining a keyshare has yet to not give me the one part I needed, even at the absolute rarest.

thats part of what i did. Still inconvenient considering syndicate mele weapons are coming soon

    Just now, PoisonHD said:

Why would your old relics become obsolete? They allow you to farm Vaulted Prime parts, which you could sell afterwards. The more relic sets they add, the more chances you have for those vaulted prime parts.

For example, lets say... Nova gets vaulted, Nova, has been in 2 relic sets now. Meaning you now have a ton more chances to vaulted parts you have, with different drop chances from BOTH relic sets. The old relics are anything but obsolete.

That's just extra work for plat, not actual progression. that and how fast misions are now, are the only good thing. But would rather have the old system if it means i cant farm keys to use them on new primes the day they are released instead of farming for new rng relics.

  11. With the old key system, once i got the new prime items I could still spend time playing the game because i could still farm keys which were not obsolete and keep me playing the game. Now, once i get the new prime items which are only 3, I have NO REASON to farm relics since every new prime item will have a new relic that is unable to be pre-farmed. Basically, once i get the new primes I have virtually no reason to play the game for 2-3 months until they make a new prime.

This is a dumb move, stupid move.

    SOLUTION

Make relics tradeable with an npc. Not all relics, only relics that share prime items between them. For example, get 1 axi g1 relic for 2 of whatever it replaced. This way people could still have a potential reason to play the god damn game when there is no new content, which is what everyone wants right? To have players play their game

Hella pissed at this new system.

The hands are tied to the skin not the syandana.

There have been threads popping up about it but no response from DE. I suspect it would take a big push by the community to get it changed on the level of the Chroma helmet debacle.

I hope they change this, otherwise I just have a very crappy syandana Im never going to wear, and a skin for a frame i basically NEVER use... I feel kinda cheated tbh. They should at least let us preview these items before purchasing, the ingame "preview" (if you can call it that) is not accurate at all.... For example, hands appear while casting with nova, but we can see the hands in the preview even tho nova is standing still...

^This is the main source that people (aka the final product that were advertised) were relying on, since its linked to the skin and asuri package in-game.

The huge number of posts were obviously not there just when the skin was released, so if you bought it when it came out you would not know.

I normally always research something before spending plat on it, but no threads anywhere.

Sure, you can blame impulse  but if no one bought it in the first place, who would make the threads pointing it out?

    Edit:

Plus, in the post here on the forums DE says :

    Nova Asuri Collection

Embody the power of a divine entity with the new Nova Asuri Collection. Expand your levels of customization by adding a new deity-inspired Skin for Nova, a new Skin for any polearm weapon, and a sacred new Syandana to your Arsenal.

Honestly, does this, without the 4 glowing arms, look sacred to you?

    xC3ZcRR.jpg

ALL of this, plz read this DE or refund my 290 plat god damn it. That syandana looks anything but sacred. looks lame as hell, rather.

  14. I bought the new nova pack assuming the hands animation would be tied to the syandana, only to be greatly disappointed because it's not. Not only are we unable to preview these items before purchase, but they can't be refunded.... Now i'm stuck with a chandelier stuck on my back that has no glowy ghost hands...

I guess I wouldn't be as disappointed if I could only buy the syandana instead of THE WHOLE THING. F me right?

Um you and the poster about pointed out exactly my point. Months upon months equals more than one and regarded as at least 2-3... And to be very honest your topic title  and this subject matter have nothing in common. Sorry for being so honest and blunt........

3 months is nothing. 3 months is not "months upon months".

What are you talking about? This is a simaris weapon not a syndicate weapon. Yes this now advances the chance for syndicate weapons to come to light but you must not be that old of a layer time wise. It was months upon months before the simulor was turned into a syndicate weapon.

Just settle down and please think about changing the post title to a more relevant title.

Gamacor was added as a cephalon syndicate secondary. about 3 months later syndicate secondaries were added.

Simulor was added as a cephalon syndicate primary in patch 16.10, about 3 months later in patch 17.3 syndicate primaries were added.

SotR Update 1 added a cephalon syndicate melee. Wait for War Within update 1 or 2 and they will have syndicate melee.

how about you settle down of that condescending tone

i'm a bit confused about what you mean. do you mean i took those weapon suggestions from that thread?

i quoted myself after that, im saying where i had that quote taken from (a post of mine). no accusations here. As you can see by the list, we have completely different suggestions on what syndicate could get what.

  18. 2 hours ago, Stalker_Cake said:

since DE wants to have the new syndicate weapons to be unpopular weapons (that fit the theme of the syndicate. Vaykor Prova everyone?)

    I'd suggest these melee weapons

    Steel Meridian - Vaykor Sydon

Arbiters of Hexis - Telos Boltace (i really just want them to complete the set....)

Cephalon Suda - Synoid Helicor (it's already good, i know, but it's the only cephalon melee weapon)

    Perrin Sequence - Secura Prova

Red Veil - Rakta Silva and Aegis

    New Loka - Sancti Venka

    from: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/651128-syndicate-mele-weapons/

    Quote

Red veil: Rakta Karyst (poison which is their thing, daggers because covert lethality, is tenno-made just like the cernos and ballistica)

Perin Sequence: Secura Lecta (there are too many variants of the prova already)

New Loka:  Sancti Dual Skana (they already have mod for skana, and use tenno made weapons)

    Arbiters of Hexis: Telos Galatine

Cephalon Suda:  Synoid Sylva & Synoid Aegis (dealing magnetic damage instead)

Steel Meridian: Vaykor Jet Kitag (Following the design of their syndana)

this was my take on the weapons. both have good guesses.
